We are celebrating 75 years as a Local!    

Charter date is December 28, 1934. 

 

 We represent over 1,700 members who are employees of the City of Saskatoon!

 

Our members serve the citizens of Saskatoon through various capacities and professions including Assessors, Carpenters, Clerk Stenos, Computer Systems Staff, Custodians, Design Assistants, Golf Course Assistants, Labourers, Life Guards, Planners, Recreation Workers, Storekeepers, and many more.   Our members work in places such as City Hall, Parks, Libraries, Civic Centres, Arenas, Swimming Pools, Playgrounds, Police Station, Fire Halls, TCU Place, Credit Union Centre, and the Mendel Art Gallery.

 

 

Since its beginnings, CUPE Local 59 has consistently fought for and won benefits and improvements to working conditions for its members.
